• "Working Days": Denoting the hours of operation from 08h00 to 17h00, observed Monday through Friday, exclusive of Saturdays, Sundays, and official public holidays recognized within the Republic of South Africa.

• Contempo maintains an active presence across various social media platforms, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and others.
• By accessing or using the Contempo Website, you agree to utilize it solely for lawful purposes. If you choose to access the website from locations outside the Republic of South Africa, you do so voluntarily and are responsible for adhering to local laws.
• You are strictly prohibited from posting or transmitting any unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, sexually explicit, profane, hateful, racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable content through the Website and Social Media Platforms. This includes, but is not limited to, reviews, comments, suggestions, ideas, questions, or any other form of information.

• To proceed with the acquisition of products showcased on our website, you will be prompted to furnish specific details, potentially including personal information. Kindly consult our Privacy Policy, accessible on our website, for insights into the handling and utilization of your personal data.

• The prices exhibited on our website are subject to modification without prior notification, and they will encompass applicable taxes.
• Orders may be declined or annulled under various circumstances, such as unavailability of products, product damage, inaccuracies in product details, erroneous price displays, or instances where payment for products is not received or authorization for payment is not granted by Contempo. In the event of order cancellation, Contempo will necessitate a bank confirmation letter from a cheque or savings account held in the customer's name to facilitate a refund via EFT. Refunds will not be processed to credit cards.
• We will promptly notify you if any items you have ordered are unavailable. The timeframe for this notification may vary, contingent upon the chosen delivery and payment methods.
• Upon selecting your preferred payment method, you will be directed to a secure payment portal to finalize the transaction by remitting the applicable purchase amount for the goods.

• Payment is perpetually contingent upon Contempo's agreements with its banking partners and the external financial transaction service provider. At the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder, the country of the merchant outlet is South Africa, with transactions conducted in South African Rand (ZAR).
• Various payment methods are available for settling your online orders and associated delivery costs. These options include, where applicable, Visa, MasterCard, or bank transfer to the Contempo bank account, the particulars of which can be provided upon request.
• Credit or Debit Card:
  • Card transactions are processed for Contempo by Peach Payment (Pty) Ltd and Ozow (Pty) Ltd, both authorized payment gateways for South African Acquiring Banks.
  • Our adherence to rigorous security and encryption protocols ensures that all customers can shop securely. We have implemented comprehensive security measures to safeguard payment and card details, as well as other confidential information, from unauthorized access.
  • By providing the requisite personal information, including payment card details, when placing your order, you affirm that you are duly authorized to make payment using the specified card and that sufficient funds are available to cover the transaction. Customer details are stored separately from card details entered on the secure sites of Peach Payment (Pty) Ltd or Ozow (Pty) Ltd. • Bank Deposit or Manual EFT, Instant EFT (by SID):
  • Please note that EFT payments may take up to seventy-two (72) hours to reflect in our bank account, contingent upon your bank and the availability of funds in your account.
  • Instant EFT (by SID) payments reflect immediately.
  • Failure to receive payment within seventy-two (72) hours will result in non-acceptance and automatic cancellation of your order.
• We regret to inform you that we do not accept cheques. 
• Upon receipt of your payment, you will receive an acknowledgment, and the delivery process will commence promptly.

The following terms and conditions pertain solely to items acquired through the Contempo Website ("online store"):

• Delivery typically occurs within 3-10 business days. While we strive to expedite delivery, unforeseen circumstances beyond our control may cause delays.
• Deliveries are restricted to physical addresses within the borders of the Republic of South Africa, between 8am and 5pm, Monday to Friday. No deliveries are made on weekends or public holidays.
• Orders are not processed during weekends or public holidays.
• Delivery fees may vary based on your delivery location and the items ordered.
• The delivery fee will be presented during the checkout process.
• Despite the quoted delivery fee, all charges are subject to a fair use policy.
• Upon order confirmation, you will receive a unique order number via email for tracking purposes.
• Once your delivery address is confirmed, changes cannot be accommodated.
• A delivery note detailing the delivered items, delivery fees, Value-Added Tax, and amount paid will be provided for signature upon delivery.
• It is imperative to inspect delivered items for accuracy and defects. If packaging appears damaged upon delivery acceptance, note it on the proof of delivery. Any issues should be promptly reported to our Online Department.
• If residing in an estate, ensure the necessary parties are informed to facilitate courier access.
• Ensure availability to receive your order at the specified address during checkout. Alternatively, designate a suitable delivery location, such as your workplace.
• While reasonable care is exercised, we are not liable for incorrect delivery details provided or acceptance by an unauthorized individual at the specified address.
• After two failed delivery attempts, your order will be returned to us, and a refund will be processed after deducting the second delivery cost.
• Contempo retains the right to refuse service or cancel orders at its discretion.
• For the purpose of this policy, "we," "us," "our" may encompass agents or independent contractors responsible for delivery on our behalf.

You reserve the right to cancel your order prior to receiving the order shipping notification. However, if cancellation occurs after the shipping notification has been dispatched, a shipping fee will be deducted from your refund.

Upon delivery of the order, the risk and ownership of the products transfer to you, the Customer.

• While Contempo endeavours to ensure the security of your transactions on the Contempo Website, the inherent nature of the Internet prevents us from guaranteeing uninterrupted service or freedom from viruses or errors. We advise caution when downloading emails, attachments, and files. 
• Links to external websites or resources provided on the Contempo Website do not imply endorsement, and we disclaim responsibility for their content, products, or services. 
• While we strive for accuracy, errors such as incorrect prices or omissions may occur on the Contempo Website, for which we disclaim liability. You are solely responsible for decisions made based on the information provided. 
• Despite employing security measures, we disclaim liability for any damages resulting from breaches of confidentiality of information transmitted to us. 
• By using the Contempo Website, you agree to indemnify Contempo against any losses, claims, or damages arising from your use or that of any third party acting on your behalf. 
• Contempo shall not be liable for:
  • Damages resulting from your use of the Contempo Website, virus transmission, or failure to provide services as outlined in this Agreement.
  • Economic losses, indirect, special, or consequential damages, including loss of data, goodwill, or reputation, arising from your use of the Contempo Website.
  • Failure to fulfil obligations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including strikes, acts of God, government regulations, equipment failure, or natural disasters.
